If coming from Brisbane, take the Cunningham Highway to Aratula, continue on the Cunningham Hwy. for another 5 km and turn left onto Lake Moogerah Rd. (signposted Spicers Gap, Lake Moogerah).

Drive 0.8 km and take first turn left into Ski Zone Rd, just past Sandy Creek

Then drive another kilometer and turn right into St.Lawrence Rd.

Attendance

Come for the weekend, and extend to the Monday if you wish. It is school holidays, supervised children are welcome to join in as a family group.

Pilgrimage History Project

We are seeking memorabilia from past Pilgrimages to compile a digital record. We would appreciate flyers, programs, photos, anything at all of interest connected with Pilgrimages for copying, borrowing, returning. Contact Nancy Hodge or BWQ secretary if you have items you would like to share.

Accommodation

  • Choose to stay any number of nights between 27/09/2019 and 30/09/2019.
  • You can either camp in your tent, camping trailer, van or caravan on the large sports field or under the trees.
  • Alternatively, choose from cabin or dormitory style bunk accommodation.
  • There are 7 cabins each with 4 rooms and with 2 double bunks per room.
  • There are 3 dormitories with 7, 12 or 15 double bunks per dorm.
  • The bunks have mattress only, you will need to bring your own pillow and sleeping bag or bed linen.
  • Requests for room sharing will be indicated on the booking form.

Toilet/shower block

A 60 to 100 metre walk from the bunk room accom. and between 100 and 200 metres from the camping spots. The female have 5 shower cubicles and the male 8 shower cubicles.

Water

Potable water from taps in the kitchen and around the hall. Other taps have lake water which should be boiled before consumption.

Fires

There are 3 open fire sites with 44 gallon drum braziers. Ample firewood on site.

Catering

We will not be catering for any main meals, but will provide the traditional soup on Friday night and supper for Saturday night along with tea and coffee during the weekend. Attendees will need be to be self sufficient with main meals, but you can cook in the camp kitchen.

We do have use of the commercial kitchen which has a walk-in cold room, 2 gas oven/cooktops, microwave. Food stored in the cold room should be labeled.

Volunteers

Tea, coffee, soup & supper monitors will be required. Also we have to keep the kitchen clean. Please advise if you would like to assist.

Walks Program

We are inviting each club to run a walk or two on the Saturday and/or Sunday. So far these clubs have offered, or suggested others … All subject to fine tuning, and still open for offers. We can run some walks both days.

Pricing

Camping and bunkroom fees are calculated on a per person per night basis.

PILGRIMAGE FEES – $25.00 per adult and $0.00 per child

ACCOMMODATION FEES – per night [Child=school aged] *

Campsite (Adult $17.50 & Child $10.50)
